Shiatsu
Alexandra Carthew OS

Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese healing art that helps to maintain and strengthen an individual's health, posture, vitality and stamina. Shiatsu works on the same points and energy channels as acupuncture using touch, pressure and stretching techniques to influence the flow of subtle energy-Qi- to the body.

During a Shiatsu session you lie on a mat in loose comfortable clothing experiencing a sense of deep relaxation as the practitioner connects with areas if block-age, tension or emptiness; assessing and addressing your energy system's fundamental needs.

Shiatsu helps many conditions from general symptoms of poor health to specific disorders such as: Back pain, Headaches, Migraine, Jo int pain, Reduced mobility, Menstrual disorders, Asthma, Depression and Digestive disorders.

Shiatsu enhances well-being by easing tension and stiffness, improving breathing and circulation and engages the body's own natural healing ability to stimulate harmony in mind and spirit.

Reiki
Juli Kennedy
Juli Kennedy is a Reiki Master Therapist and Teacher with four years’ experience. Juli runs workshops to teach students Reiki ( levels one and two). Juli is a fully insured member of the Reiki Association.

Reiki (ray key) is the Japanese name given to a natural and ancient form of hands-on healing that originated in Tibet thousands of years ago. Reiki is a non-invasive therapy that is performed on fully clothed clients who lie on a couch while the practitioner places their hands systematically on specific points of the body; Reiki can also be given while seated.

As energy flows the client may experience heat from the practitioner’s hand or a cool sensation when energy travels deep into the body. However, there is an overall sense of wellbeing. Reiki affects mind, body and spirit; accelerating the healing process as it rebalances emotional and physical issues.

Reiki is well known for its ability to help conditions such as stress, depression, ME, migraine, insomnia and pain. By removing negative energy on all levels Reiki helps promote confidence and eliminate lack of motivation. Reiki is exceptionally powerful and after just one treatment clients report positive changes to their condition. Reiki creates whole-ness, harmony and balance for mind, body and spirit.

Reiki Massage
Reiki massage is a combination of Swedish Massage and Reiki Healing. These two therapies combined are a powerful de-stresser, resulting in a wonderful feeling of relaxation. Reiki Massage re-vitalises the body, re-balancing on all levels and is very good for stress, insomnia, depression, pain, fatigue and much, much more!

Creative Kinesiology
Rachel Stanford
“The way of the Tracker” in life “things’ happen to us physically, environmentally, emotionally and spiritually, causing distress that can get locked into our body. If you bring an issue for us to work on together, I as the Tracker, use muscle testing to discover the point last seen, i.e. when were you last happy? Or when were you last pain free? Muscle testing is usually applied to the arm, but sometimes legs and feet are involved, so please wear comfortable clothing.

I use different types of ‘corrections’ to release block-ages, i.e. massage points, head holding, meridian work, muscle techniques, essences, colour and nutrition; what-ever is needed to move you on in your personal growth. Please allow up to 1.5 hours a session.

Kinesio Massage
Rachel Stanford
“Perceptual Bodywork”. A mixture of Kinesiology and Massage. During the first part of the session we assess the issue with muscle testing and corrections. You then relax as we move on to massage the areas being prioritised as a result of the muscle testing.

These sessions are very useful for people who enjoy bodywork and touch and are equally benefilcial for physical injury or emotional loss. A deeper level of healing can often be achieved because of the combination of skills, which are personalised for your needs.

For those who like aromatherapy treatment I can muscle test a mix of essential oils ‘just for you’.

Sessions time is either 1 or 1.5 hours. Clothes are not worn, but you will be covered with towels or blankets.

Reflexology
Rachel Stanford
The reflex points of the feet are massaged with a ‘pressure touch’ that works with the rhythm of the body inducing deep relaxation and calmness. This often helps people who are anxious or sleeping badly.

The feet reflect a map of the body like a mirror and can so often reveal an issue / area that needs attention. I find this treatment is a great energiser for people who are recvering from an operation, childbirth or a trauma. This therapy also works well for people who are adjusting to life changes such as a new job, broken relationship, menopause, retirement or loss of a loved one.

Please arrive with freshly washed feet. Session time 1 or 1.25 hours.

Anne Paige
Colonic Hydrotherapy is an internal bath that helps cleanse the colon of accumulated faecal matter and poison gas, which can lead to disease. Such techniques have been practised since 1500BC in many cultures; the earliest records are from Ancient Egypt.

Anybody can benefit from the treatment, resulting in mental clarity, lightness, feeling of wellbeing, relief from bloating, IBS, head-aches, skin problems and many more! Significantly, the long-term risk of bowel disease is diminished.

The treatment is totally safe and is carried out in a gentle and dignified manner by a trained therapist. Colonic therapy may be used as part of a programme with other therapist such as Homeopathy, Nutrition and Massage, etc. helping to maintain optimum health and equilibrium.

Homeopathic Medicine
Susie Jamieson Lic. LCCH
You are unique; treat yourself that way!

Homeopathic Medicine is totally holistic and treats the individual patient rather than focussing on particular symptoms.

Homeopathic Medicine is totally different to the medicine we have come to know in the western world; we have become accustomed to a ‘pill for an ill’ culture and the suppression of dis-ease symptoms. Homeopathic Medicine treats dis-ease symptoms but also treats aspects of your constitution such as weather preference, sleeping position, food cravings or body temperature and, of great importance, also treats your emotional state of mind. The facts obtained during a Homeopathic consultation produce a unique picture of a unique individual – you!

Each treatment is therefore totally different because it is you that the Homeopath will treat with a substance capable of causing your dis-ease symptoms, but which also has an affinity with aspects of your constitution and can produce emotional upset, similar to that which you are experiencing.

An initial consultation can last up to two hours (one hour maximum for children) and follow up consultations can last 30-60 minutes; a minimum of two follow-up consultations are recommended.
